Gen rose, bowed, and turned to leave the office. Yanwu suddenly spun around and drove a kunai into the wall behind him. His body instantly transformed into flames, but an arm landed upon his shoulder.
"Let's talk outside!"
In an instant, the two vanished from the office. Mingye brought Yanwu across a vast distance in the blink of an eye, arriving in a desolate mountain wilderness.
"Who are you?!"
Yanwu assumed a defensive stance and questioned Mingye.
"I've actually always wanted to try acting all badass. Don't be confused—it doesn't matter if you don't know what that means. Heh. But you're not a good person, are you? So it's better to just kill you."
Mingye picked at his ear. The moment he finished speaking, he vanished. Susanoo's greatsword stabbed toward Yanwu. Yanwu's body scattered and split apart, but a barrier appeared over the ground. Susanoo's arms elongated, and both hands pressed against the earth. Cracks spread across the ground as Yanwu was blasted straight out of the soil. Mingye drew close again, smiling—a smile that looked like that of a demon in Yanwu's eyes.

Mingye pointed with his index finger, and the space before him began to distort. It spiraled and tore out a section of space, forming a circular mass that shot toward Yanwu. It was so fast that Yanwu had no time to dodge. The flaming puppet at his side transformed into a shield in front of him, yet it could not withstand the ninjutsu at all. Its body spun around the distorted space and was twisted into a knot.
