Danzō had given Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and Tsunade a strict order: they had to hold Hanzo back at all costs and prevent him from reinforcing Amegakure, after which the army would split up and continue advancing on the village.

The Explosive Tags detonated, kicking up countless clouds of dust. Tsunade flashed away, only to be surrounded by an Explosive Tag barrier that had long been laid beneath the ground. Jiraiya rushed before her, his long hair wrapping around Tsunade.
