"But?! It seemed my chakra still couldn't move that fast!"
The problem of inscribing that formula might have seemed simple, but it came with a restriction: he needed exceptionally skilled chakra control. At only fifteen years old, Minato Namikaze knew himself well—he did not possess that level of chakra control.
"Minato, do you know? Formulas aren't something you only need to create after a war has begun. You need to understand this: every war requires preparation. Are you planning to go onto the battlefield without making any preparations at all?!"
Mingye smiled like a wise elder and patted Minato Namikaze on the shoulder. Minato was jolted awake and swiftly pulled out a kunai, using chakra to draw the formula he had created onto it. Yet it did not work. He frowned slightly, seemingly unable to understand why, and Mingye spoke again.
"Chakra control requires extremely delicate manipulation. The Flying Thunder God is, after all, a form of spatial ninjutsu. Without exceptionally precise control, you simply cannot control the formulas you create!"
Minato Namikaze nodded thoughtfully. His control truly was not delicate enough yet; he could not fully grasp the minute rhythms of chakra manipulation. But that did not mean he would be incapable in the future. As he carefully considered where his process had gone wrong, he seemed to mutter to himself.
"It isn't just my problem. This kunai can't withstand the energy brought by the formula either. I need to make custom kunai!"
After forming his own plan, Minato Namikaze bowed to Mingye in thanks and hurried away, even forgetting to bid Jiraiya farewell. Only then did Jiraiya speak.
"It seems that kid Minato really doesn't appreciate any of my ninjutsu. Other than the Rasengan, he's practically never asked me about any of my other techniques. What a downer!"
