"Uchiha Mingye! Let her go!"
Funazai Yuraya's anguished roar rang out. His arm trembled as he pointed at Mingye, who stood beside his daughter with an icy expression. Mingye looked at Funazai Yuraya calmly and said,
"Remember what you once said? Only those with both virtue and talent could become an appointed clan. I once asked you what it meant to have both virtue and talent, and you told me I'd understand when I had the insight!"
Funazai Yuraya glared at Mingye, his face dark with fury, and swore viciously,
"Mingye, if you dare kill her, I swear that after tonight, you and I will be enemies until one of us is dead!"
"Heh! Enemies until one of us is dead? You're not even worthy of that!"
"Mingye!"
Mingye's expression was cold and contemptuous as his long blade slid lightly across the neck of the woman he had pinned down. Funazai Yuraya had completely lost his reason. He roared at Mingye and snatched a guard's sword, hurling it at him. A flash of silver cut through the air. Mingye dodged swiftly, and Tobirama appeared before him. His long sword, wrapped in arcs of electricity, tore through the air again, spreading its lightning like a spiderweb.
Mingye vanished in an instant, and Tobirama disappeared beneath the ruins of the house as well. When the two reappeared, Mingye had closed in on Funazai Yuraya, seemingly intent on killing him too. Funazai Yuraya was so startled that his legs gave way and he fell to the ground. Tobirama appeared swiftly and raised his long blade to block Mingye's attack.
"Tobirama, has no one ever told you that you really look like a rat?"
Tobirama's expression remained unchanged. He kicked out and replied,
"You've gone too far!"
