Donnie splashed a basin of cold water over the glasses man's head.

Icy water dripped down the glasses man's head and onto the ground, making a splashing sound. The unconscious glasses man was jolted awake by the sudden cold shock and his eyes snapped open.

He groaned in pain and instinctively reached for the back of his head, where Donnie had just struck him hard.

"What do you want? I'm no threat to you anymore, why are you still after me!" The glasses man was terrified. Donnie had left a huge shadow over him. He wanted to calm himself down and negotiate with Donnie one-on-one, to let him go. But his legs couldn't stop trembling.

This guy in front of him was a complete barbarian! Brutal in his attacks!

Donnie sneered as he looked the man over. He had considered killing this glasses man more than once. The glasses man bore the deep imprint of the Vampire and Ha-Ghost Clan. No matter what the glasses man said, no one would accept him again.

At least Donnie wouldn't believe it. The glasses man held a high position, and it was almost impossible for someone like him, who had neither money nor power, to win him over.

Donnie certainly wouldn't try to win him over. This member of the Ha-Ghost Clan was willing to be a dog for the vampires, trash that fed on humans. It was good that he hadn't killed him immediately.

Between humans and vampires, there could only be war. It was a war between two species with fundamentally different life characteristics.

"Speak. Tell me everything you know." Donnie played with his phone, constantly spinning it in his hand.

The glasses man's gaze followed the phone. He knew this phone was a deadly weapon, and in the hands of this Mechanic, it could perform unimaginable transformations, killing him in an instant.

"I'll talk, I'll tell you everything, I just hope you don't kill me." The glasses man was covered in sweat, mixed with the cold water, making it impossible to tell the difference. He took off his glasses and wiped them, only for Donnie to knock them away.

The glasses flew and hit the wall with a crisp sound.

"The vampires sent me to negotiate with you. They swore to me that if it came to a fight, over a hundred well-trained and well-equipped soldiers could eliminate you, or at the very least, retreat safely. That's why I came," the glasses man said. He couldn't see clearly, Donnie's face a blur in his vision, which was difficult for this experienced negotiator, skilled in reading people.

"You think so too? You think over a hundred people can eliminate me, and that's why you brought your team to find me," Donnie said.

The glasses man tried to maintain his composure, widening his eyes to try and see Donnie's expression clearly. A negotiator who couldn't see the other party's expression was practically equivalent to failure.

The glasses man told Donnie that the Council had promised him they would provide backup, including armored vehicles and tanks as support.

"The Council did have the intention of eliminating you directly, but they weren't confident, and they were more worried about provoking the Mutant, bipolar, behind you. So their primary order to me was to negotiate with you, hoping for a reconciliation. But..."

"But someone interfered," Donnie said, standing up. "You've been abandoned. As a pawn to escalate the conflict, you've been completely discarded."

The glasses man gritted his teeth. "I don't think the Council abandoned me, someone interfered! Deacon! It must have been him! His actions have been strange lately, and his conflicts with the Council have become public. Besides him, I can't think of anyone else who would target me."

The glasses man explained that the Vampire Kingdom was currently being besieged by many vampire hunters and had suffered heavy losses. They wouldn't engage in a major fight with Donnie unless absolutely necessary, and at least they would deal with the vampire hunters first before going after Donnie.

The vampire hunters were very active now, with even specialized ruthless individuals targeting Deacon specifically. Wherever Deacon went, they pursued him. Many important vampire strongholds had been destroyed, resulting in astonishing losses that had thoroughly alarmed the Council. The Council was meticulously preparing a comprehensive plan to deal with these vampire hunters.

"Tell me all the vampire strongholds you know."

"I only know Deacon's base. I know where his territory is! It's in Ocean City, New Jersey! The Night People Club! Deacon is often active in that area!"

The glasses man began to beg Donnie. If Donnie could let him go, he would exchange it for a large amount of wealth. He had worked for the vampires for many years and had accumulated an astonishing fortune, which he offered to Donnie, just to save his life.

Donnie brought over a laptop and forced him to transfer the money on the spot.

"Transfer the money to me now, and I'll let you go immediately," Donnie said. "You're just an insignificant person to me, there's no reason for me to lie to you."

The glasses man took the laptop and looked up at Donnie one last time, wanting to confirm if Donnie was telling the truth. But unfortunately, without his glasses, he couldn't see clearly.

The glasses man clicked on a website and entered a string of numbers. A large sum of money was transferred into Donnie's account, over eight million dollars. The glasses man had worked for the financially well-off Vampire Council for many years, and to reach that position, he naturally had many ways to amass wealth.

But in the end, it all went to Donnie, a wasted effort.

The old bartender walked in, carrying a bottle of wine, staggering and flushed, appearing drunk.

"Alright, stop pretending, it's utterly boring." Donnie said impatiently, pointing at the glasses man. "Kill him and dispose of the body. We don't have much time."

The old bartender's mouth twitched. He instantly sobered up, his seemingly drunken face revealing unconcealed surprise. He looked at Donnie, wanting to ask how he knew. He was indeed pretending, pretending in front of S.H.I.E.L.D., pretending in front of the vampires and Ha-Ghost Clan lurking in the shadows, and even pretending in front of Donnie, as it made him seem more harmless.

"If you were truly this useless and brainless, you would have been killed by the vampires years ago and wouldn't have survived this long. At least I don't believe a slick old-timer would spend his days drunk and dreaming, leaving himself vulnerable," Donnie said calmly, his gaze revealing no emotion.

The old bartender silently dropped the wine bottle, a warning bell ringing in his mind. He felt a sense of apprehension towards Donnie. This young man, in a way, was becoming increasingly cunning. He remained silent, carefully took out a small knife from the seam of his belt, and walked towards the glasses man.

The glasses man broke down, shouting at Donnie to let him go, calling Donnie a despicable villain who broke his promises, and then pleading with Donnie to spare him, saying he would do anything.

As the old bartender approached him, a fierce glint flashed in his eyes. He suddenly lunged, and having survived in the vampire world, he couldn't be without some skills. He aimed for the old bartender's neck, intending a killing blow.

But in the next moment, he was completely despairing.

With lightning speed, the old bartender grabbed his hand. Taking a step forward, the small knife in his hand plunged deep into the other's neck, his movements agile and precise, without any hesitation. At that moment, the old bartender displayed the reason he had survived for so many years. His skillful and seasoned movements were nothing like those of a decrepit old man.

Donnie wasn't particularly surprised. Without some skills, the old bartender would have died long ago on the run.
