Donnie was like a bystander, quietly watching the Flash stubbornly march toward death.
He had done everything he could and fulfilled his duty to the fullest. He would not be like Superman or Batman, willing to be hated by the Flash just to stop him from doing something foolish.
The entire world began to fracture. Those cracks spreading everywhere were countless Death's scythes, grinning viciously as they slashed at Barry Allen, who had no idea what the consequences would be.

He watched quietly as the scene slowed to a halt, personally witnessing the overwhelming backlash roar toward the Flash like a tsunami.
Even with the Speed Force empowering Barry, he still seemed far too insignificant before the mad retaliation of an entire world.
If it had been Savitar or Ultimate Flash, nothing would have happened to them. But for this Barry, who had yet to grow and would never have the chance to grow, it was all but over.
