Capturing the Lantern Beasts (1)

Ganthet and Sayd stood at the very front of the group, glaring grimly at Starscream.

"They still came... faster than I expected."

"These damned bastards are the root cause of the chaos engulfing this universe. They have no idea how terrifying Blackest Night is!!"

Sayd said in a deep voice.

Ganthet replied calmly, "It is unimaginably terrifying to us, but perhaps in Donnie's eyes, it is merely another cosmic crisis... He has dealt with many cosmic crises. Numerous ancient gods from the God Realm have been defeated by Donnie. Of course, he would not take Blackest Night seriously."

As for whether Donnie knew about the prophecy of Blackest Night... if a Unique God capable of suppressing countless timelines could not sense something this significant, he would be utterly useless...

Behind them, Saint Walker, leader of the Blue Lantern Corps, said quietly, "We can choose to negotiate and avoid war..."

"Impossible. You do not understand how they operate. To accelerate Blackest Night's arrival, they will never accept peace. Even if only to stir up the Emotional Spectrum, they will drag the Blue Lantern Corps of Hope into this battlefield."

Ganthet rejected the suggestion outright, his grave gaze fixed on Starscream and on Larfleeze, who had just flown back.

Larfleeze stared wide-eyed at the Blue Lantern Rings in Ganthet and the others' hands. The brand-new rings filled his face with undisguised greed and possessiveness.

"Let's make a deal," Larfleeze said quickly. "I won't take your Orange Lantern Ring, but you have to give me a Blue Lantern Ring. That's fair."

Starscream shot the bastard a cold, mocking glance.

Fair?

Fair my ass!

Starscream felt that once the battle was over, not only should Larfleeze's ring be reclaimed, but every Blue Lantern Ring they obtained should be taken back as well!

Trash like
