Rebirth Failed

The Blackest Night Emperor was buried beneath the White Light.

More than a dozen White Lanterns gathered around, their eyes filled with delight.

"Did we succeed?" Max asked in a deep voice as he reined in the White Light and looked at the Black Lantern zombies around them, which had suddenly gone stiff and motionless.

Donnie glanced at him. "Wishful thinking."

With a whoosh, the Blackest Night Emperor appeared in the same spot once again, his expression stiff.

Without needing Donnie to call out, the group immediately raised their White Lantern Rings and bombarded the Blackest Night Emperor again.

The Blackest Night Emperor swept his cold, vicious gaze over them before his entire body was swallowed by White Light once more.

In the distance, a group of superheroes watched the scene uneasily.
