The Fourth Audit

The Celestials were a diverse group, with many different models, each shouldering entirely different responsibilities.

Unlike the servants known as the Dark Celestial Group, whom the First Firmament had created out of sheer boredom back then, this current batch consisted of colored Celestials. When Eternity led the gods in besieging and killing the First Firmament, they had been created in imitation of the Dark Celestial Group as enforcers.

Their initial role had been similar to the Doomsday King under Donnie's command, created solely to help bear the pressure of confronting powerful enemies.

But after the First Firmament was killed and Eternity successfully ascended to become the second-generation Eternity, taking on the responsibility of suppressing and sustaining the Multiverse—the evolution of the First Firmament's corpse—the duties of these colored Celestials changed drastically. They went from weapons of war to enforcers who helped Eternity maintain the stability of the Multiverse.

This miraculous turnabout was founded entirely upon Eternity's status.

The Celestials had a peculiar hobby: roaming the Multiverse, casually altering primitive lifeforms that piqued their interest, then returning after a set interval to audit their experimental subjects.

Those that passed would qualify for the next round of selection. Those that failed would be exterminated.

This time, however, the Celestials' upper ranks mobilized and headed together for the main universe, standing ready as though facing a formidable enemy.

"The fourth audit carries far too high a danger rating."

"Not only has a New God been born on Earth, there are also mutated lifeforms capable of threatening us in the future."

"In the modular system, such a probability does not exist. Yet this change has occurred."

"By the rules, the New God is also an Earthling. He should have been within our audit range."
