Anderson was dragged, dazed and confused, before the Falken Family.
Maroni, the head of the Falken Family, patted Anderson on the head and smiled disdainfully.
"Just a garbage rat like you dared to stir up trouble on my turf... Are you tired of living? Did you really think Stark would make a big fuss over a little punk like you?" Maroni kicked Anderson viciously, then pulled out his phone and dialed a number, ignoring Anderson's agonized wails.
The contact was labeled "Joker."
"As you requested, I had Anderson brought here. Move against Batman immediately. I don't want to see that damned vigilante alive again. Once it's done, I'll pay you half the money," Maroni said.
He did not understand why Joker wanted them to kidnap Anderson, but that was unimportant. Even if Joker had not said anything, the Falken Family would have acted anyway. Anderson had become increasingly arrogant. At first, he had secretly sold weapons in the shadows, but lately he had been doing it openly. How could the Falken Family tolerate that? It was one thing to be beaten down by Batman—they had no way of dealing with Batman—but what the hell was Anderson?
Maroni had it all planned out. They were handing the man over to Joker anyway. Even if Stark questioned them, he should go looking for Joker. It had nothing to do with the Falken Family.
"Very soon, hehehe, very soon..." Joker's deeply unpleasant cackle came through the phone. Faint, piercing screams could also be heard. Maroni blinked and hung up without a care.
Anderson mumbled through a mouth full of blood. He forced his eyes open wide, making gurgling sounds as he said indistinctly, "Falcone will eventually become a thing of the past... All of you will go to hell."
Maroni suddenly became interested.
