The vast Batcave was filled with high-tech equipment, and the intricate, sophisticated devices were dizzying at a glance. Any one of these instruments could fetch an astronomical price outside, and many of them could not be bought at any price. Countless national laboratories could not find such equipment, yet all of it had been brought into this Batcave.
Bruce took off his shirt, revealing a powerfully muscled body. He hoisted a small hydraulic press and combined a large number of materials unheard of in the outside world. He had long had a vague concept in mind for a suit of super armor capable of facing powerful threats. Now was the time to put it into practice.
The number of Superhumans kept growing, and Bruce had always felt a sense of urgency. He would never allow himself to be left powerless before anyone.
Many machines had been activated, and his old butler Alfred assisted him. In the spacious yet somewhat crowded Batcave, only the two of them and a mass of computer programs bustled back and forth.
The heavy sounds of machinery echoed through the Batcave, adding to its oppressive atmosphere.
"Every time you do this, it causes enormous trouble." Alfred no longer wore his usual gentle smile. His expression was solemn. Though he was helping Bruce, he could not help trying to persuade him.
"You've been taking care of me since I was very young." Bruce wiped the sweat from his forehead and walked to a massive computer to enter another round of data. "You should understand that you can't persuade me. I have to end the source of this evil."
