A Premonition of Doom, Eternity's Date with Death

Death left, looking utterly carefree. As for what she was truly thinking, no one knew.

Donnie had no interest in guessing.

Of the Five Gods of the Multiverse, Death was the hardest to grasp—that crazed, extreme woman.

Donnie casually glanced at Death's retreating figure, his brow lifting slightly. Then he turned his attention to the immortals of the Heavenly Court in the main universe, looking thoroughly entertained as he sincerely wished for their success.

"You'd better hurry. It would be best if all of you succeeded before I set out on my long campaign into the God Realm..."

Donnie drained the tea in his cup and narrowed his eyes, sensing Death's unhurried aura gradually fading away.

Using each other—that was what he and the Jade Emperor had in mind. The Heavenly Court, however, had no right to choose. Donnie could keep them firmly under his thumb.

Strictly speaking, the Heavenly Court barely even qualified to be used by Donnie. At best, they were better than nothing. What if they proved useful? Even drawing away a single Level Eight god would be worthwhile.

At every moment, Death could traverse countless universes. Vast numbers of souls gathered around her—the dead from across the Multiverse. Every life that died would instinctively seek out Death's trace and gather at her side.

Within an incomparably desolate palace lay Death's residence. Death stepped inside, raised a hand, and tore open the barrier around the palace, instantly passing beyond the outer world of the Multiverse and entering the mysterious inner world.

The inner world was an unknown inner layer of the Multiverse. It was also where the Five Gods resided, which was why so few knew the location of their headquarters.
