The next second, the blade stopped right before Son Goku's eyes, less than a few centimeters away.
"W-why didn't you dodge?" Trunks asked, somewhat puzzled.
"Because you don't have any killing intent. I knew you'd stop," Son Goku said with complete certainty.
"I see. But next time, I won't stop!" Trunks withdrew his sword and assumed a fighting stance once more.
"I know."
After speaking, Son Goku slowly raised his arm and held up his index finger.
A golden aura suddenly emerged from his fingertip, instantly enveloping the entire finger.
Looking at Trunks, Son Goku pushed his finger forward slightly and said, "All right, begin."
Trunks narrowed his eyes. The next instant, his body shot forward from where he stood, the sword in his hand turning into a silver streak like an electric serpent as it slashed toward Son Goku with lightning speed.
Yet Son Goku used only a single finger to easily block Trunks's sword.
No matter which angle Trunks attacked from or how fast he moved, he simply could not break through the defense of Son Goku's finger.
The golden auras erupting from their bodies even collided, continuously crushing against each other as though fighting for territory.
After roughly five seconds of fierce offense, Trunks decisively stopped attacking.
He abruptly took several steps back, tossed his sword into the sky, and simultaneously dispelled his Super Saiyan transformation.
"Just as impressive as the rumors say—just like the legends. No, even stronger than the legends!" Trunks praised.
Son Goku also dispelled his Super Saiyan transformation, as did Son Gohan beside him.
"Even Frieza was cut to pieces by this sword." Trunks sighed. "You and Mr. Son Gohan are both worthy of my trust. Next, I'll tell you everything."
