Harry looked at the magical creatures surrounding them and said impatiently, "The dwarf pig monsters are so fast, and they're cunning too. They noticed the glue I conjured."
Those Dwarf pig Monsters resembled deformed piglets. They vaguely had the shape of little pigs, yet their bodies were gaunt and bony.
Their limbs were strangely proportioned to their bodies, somewhat like a giraffe's. They had long hooves and would occasionally twitch their thick, stubby tails, letting out bizarre cries that sounded almost taunting.
"Close your eyes! Lumos!" Draco waved his wand, releasing a burst of dazzling white light.
The moment he uttered the Illumination Spell, the dwarf pig monsters seemed to sense something. They scattered in all directions on their hooves, only surrounding them again after the light faded.
Draco tilted his head slightly toward Cedric. "Cedric, aren't you ready yet?"
"I'm ready!" Cedric quickly replied. "Good thing you helped me buy time!"
As soon as he finished speaking, a noisy chorus of barking rang out. More than a dozen white hunting dogs charged at the dwarf pig monsters while barking loudly.
At the sight of those white hunting dogs, the dwarf pig monsters that had dared to taunt them finally panicked.
Chased away by the white hunting dogs, they no longer blocked Harry and the others' path.
"We finally drove those dwarf pig monsters away! Well done, Diggory! You've got your father's flair!" Ludo Bagman praised. "Amos is an expert at handling magical creatures!"
Amos Diggory's face flushed red at Ludo Bagman's words.
Mrs. Diggory beside him was beaming as well, clinging to Amos Diggory's arm with an immensely proud expression.
After entering the fifth level of the maze, the Champions could clearly feel that the obstacles posed by the maze's traps and magical creatures had grown increasingly difficult.
