Descending the stairs to the first floor of St. Mungo's, Harry and the others ran into Neville and his grandmother, Augusta Longbottom, as they passed through the waiting room.
Augusta Longbottom wore a draping green robe and a hat adorned with a stuffed vulture, her appearance as distinctive as ever.
"Neville!" Harry raised a hand in greeting. "Did you come to visit Wizet?"
"Mm..." Neville answered somewhat awkwardly. "And there are some other things I need to do..."
"Other things?" Harry blinked, seeming to recall something. "Was that why you wrote to me, saying you had to look after your family and wouldn't be going to France with me?"
"Yes!" Neville nodded, his voice softer than before.
Realizing something, Augusta Longbottom's voice became much sterner. "Neville, haven't you told them about your parents?"
Harry and the others all cried out in unison, "About his parents?"
Several patients still waiting nearby turned to look when they heard the commotion from Harry and the others.
Feeling the patients' stares, Neville grew embarrassed, sweat already beading on his forehead.
"This is nothing to be ashamed of!" Augusta Longbottom looked at Neville angrily. "They were warriors who fell before dawn. We should be proud of that!"
She turned to Harry and the others, her voice brimming with pride. "My son and daughter-in-law were tortured into madness by Death Eaters, but they never stopped resisting!"
Just then, the stuffed vulture on her hat seemed to come alive, letting out a brief screech.
"We should go upstairs." Augusta Longbottom let out a breath. "I believe they should recover before long!"
"Neville, say goodbye to them!" She patted Neville on the shoulder. "We need to see Ms. Graves!"
