Anthony took out a dragon-hide notebook. Its cover had been so well maintained that it gleamed with an oily sheen, radiating a warm, gentle luster.
He flipped through the pages quickly. Every page was not only stuffed with newspaper clippings, but also densely covered in line after line of writing.
Michael's eyes widened as he tried to make out the contents of the clippings. "These are all... those news reports?"
"You actually wrote down this much?" Chris swallowed. "Why does this feel so much like Wizet... Where do you guys find all that time?"
"I'm nowhere near his level!" Anthony found the page he needed. "Haven't you seen Wizet's notebooks?"
"Even though he only uses the most ordinary notebooks, the rate at which he goes through them... I have no idea how high they'd pile up."
"That's true..." Chris nodded. "Still, you've written down quite a lot too. That's pretty impressive."
"It's just a hobby." Pleased by his roommate's praise of his efforts, Anthony broke into a grin. "Whenever I get tired of studying, doing this perks me right back up!"
"Look here!" he said, pointing at the clippings on the page. "These on the left are news from the past couple of years, while the ones on the right are from the last month or two... What do they have in common?"
"They have quite a few things in common..." Terry's gaze moved back and forth. "The top two clippings both took place in the Congo, and both involve incidents related to Tebo."
"The other clippings too!" Michael added. "They all happened in Burkina Faso, and they're all about Runespoor smuggling..."
Chris shrugged. "Michael said what I was going to say..."
"Then analyze the differences between these incidents that took place in the same locations," Anthony said.
