Night had fallen, and the streetlamps on both sides of the road had lit up. Diagon Alley seemed steeped in beer, carrying a pleasantly tipsy comfort.

Wizet walked out of the apothecary and, following the potion maker's directions, turned into a dark side lane.

The lights of Diagon Alley dimmed in an instant, and the air flowing through the lane was cold and damp.

The brick walls on either side leaned crookedly. Speckled fluorescent moss grew over them, giving off a cold green glow, creating the feeling of ghostly shadows crowding all around.

The end of the lane was shrouded in darkness, like the entrance to hell, giving the illusion that anyone who went in would never return.

Even someone with the dullest senses could tell there was something wrong with this lane.

From the end of the lane came Hagrid's roar.

"Let me leave! I'm not buying anymore! Don't touch me!"

An arrogant voice cackled. "What's that supposed to mean? Didn't we already agree? We even brought the dog over... You wouldn't want us to slaughter this dog, would you?"

Hagrid's roar grew even louder. "Don't you dare! The little darling hasn't even opened its eyes yet! You suddenly raised the price—I didn't bring that much money! Give me one more day!"

The arrogant voice went on, "Give you one more day? This thing is hot merchandise! Let us search you. If you really don't have that much money, I'll sell it to you at the original price!"

Hagrid shouted firmly, "No! That's all the money I've got on me!"

Wizet understood. Hagrid had gotten into a conflict with another group of people.

Now was not the time to play hero or stand around watching. Going back to Diagon Alley to get help was the right move.

Just as he was about to turn back, a cold voice sounded behind him. "Carrying a brand-new cauldron? And an owl?"

"Looks like a new student..." A wizard cloaked entirely in black appeared, his wand raised high. A deathly pale light shone from the tip. "Brat, what are you doing here?"

Wizet instinctively lowered his head and raised a hand in front of his face to avoid being dazzled by the light.

The Black-Robed Wizard continued, "What good luck today. Two fat fish... Come with me!"

Wizet reached into his pocket. Inside was the gift Ollivander had given him—a fist-sized iron plate, a defensive magical item.

Its method of use was also unusually simple. He only needed to rub the iron plate back and forth three times to trigger the Shield Charm contained within it.

Wizet vaguely understood how precious this iron plate was, but the situation was urgent now. It seemed he could only rely on this magical item to escape.

He followed the Black-Robed Wizard deeper into the lane and saw a strange sight at the end of the road.

A melody rich with Greek flavor drifted through the air;

The towering Hagrid leaned against the corner of the wall, fists clenched and eyes blazing with fury;

And there were three raggedly dressed people like starving wolves. Though they only came up to Hagrid's waist, they had surrounded the giant in the middle.

"Wizet... Why are you here?" Hagrid first asked in surprise, then immediately began roaring again. "You actually dare to hold a child hostage!"

"So you know each other. Then he can only blame his bad luck."

The Black-Robed Wizard shoved Wizet and joined the other three, surrounding Wizet and Hagrid in the middle.

Wizet was not as agitated as Hagrid. He looked behind the four of them, where a giant beast lay sleeping soundly.

The beast looked like a pug magnified countless times. Just lying on the ground asleep, it was already as tall as he was.

The strangest thing was still the dog's appearance. It had a full three heads, and when it smacked its lips, sticky drool dripped down.

A Three-headed Dog, a 5X-class Fantastic Beast, native to Greece, fond of sweets, possessing a size and magic resistance comparable to a dragon...

According to the rating system in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, 5X was the most dangerous level. Fantastic Beasts of this kind were extremely dangerous and difficult to tame.

Based on what Wizet knew of Hagrid, for Hagrid to call some kind of Fantastic Beast a "little darling," enormousness and danger were practically indispensable traits.

Wizet asked, "Hagrid, you want to buy it?"

Hagrid nodded indignantly. "I brought enough money, but then they demanded an outrageous price and actually raised it to six hundred Galleons!"

The Black-Robed Wizard said, "To bring this big fellow here, one of our brothers got caught. Of course we have to raise the price! He was our dearest kin..."

"That's no excuse for going back on your word!" Hagrid spat, cutting off the Black-Robed Wizard.

"Going back on our word? That's right! I am going back on my word!" The Black-Robed Wizard cackled strangely. "Now there's one more child who knows our secret. The price has to keep going up!"

"And since there just happens to be one more child now, you can go back and get the money! If you don't bring one thousand Galleons tomorrow... the ghost this child turns into will be coming to find you!"

"Huh!" Hagrid was startled and quickly waved his hands. "You can't do that! You absolutely can't do that!"

Seeing this, Wizet could not help rubbing the space between his brows.

His life in the orphanage in his previous life had taught Wizet that when encountering something like this, he could not back down. Backing down would only make evil people push further.

To deal with unreasonable villains like this, he needed to make them afraid.

"Cackle, cackle, cackle, cackle... Of course we're going to do that!" The four people opposite them laughed strangely. "You can go back and raise the money. Whether this child survives will all depend on you!"

Wizet cleared his throat. "Everyone, you haven't even asked for my opinion, yet you've decided everything on your own?"

"My family is still waiting for me. If I go back late, they'll worry... so I'm very sorry, but I can't spend the night here."

The four people opposite him froze for a moment, then laughed even more wildly.

"Did I hear that right? Is he threatening us? I'm really so scared!"

"A new student carrying a cauldron—he probably only bought his wand today, right? What can he do? Lumos?"

"Judging by the clothes you're wearing, you don't look like some rich pure-blood family's kid... If you were, that would be perfect. Then we could ask for two thousand Galleons!"

Wizet said calmly, "Do you know what an Obscurial is? Or do you have the habit of reading the papers?"

The four people opposite him grew somewhat impatient. "What Obscurial? Cut the crap! Big guy, hurry up and get the money ready!"

"All right..." Wizet sighed. "Hagrid, I remember you brought a copy of the Daily Prophet. Do you still have it?"

"Oh... I do!" Hagrid immediately rummaged through his pockets and took out a crumpled newspaper.

Wizet took the newspaper and handed it to the four people opposite him. "You can take a look."

Only the Black-Robed Wizard spread the newspaper open, while the other three remained on guard.

Very quickly, the Black-Robed Wizard's expression went from suspicious to shocked.

He raised his wand, and warm white light shone from the tip, illuminating Wizet's face.

The Black-Robed Wizard's expression changed rapidly, from shock to fear, and beads of sweat gradually covered his forehead.

"A born Dark wizard, a walking powder keg, an extremely dangerous individual." Wizet pointed at himself. "That's talking about me... I'm an Obscurial."

The Black-Robed Wizard wiped the sweat from his forehead and forced himself to stay calm as he barked, "You say you are, so you are? Who knows if the reporter took the wrong photo... The article could be complete nonsense too!"

"He is Wizet!" Hagrid said angrily. "Because of this whole thing, plenty of people have already given him looks today!"

"Perhaps you need some evidence?" Wizet smiled as he rolled up his sleeves, every gesture exceptionally smooth...
