"Professor McGonagall..." Cedric knocked on the door and called, "I'm Cedric. Mr. Malfoy and I are here."
"Mr. Diggory, Mr. Malfoy, come in!" Professor McGonagall's voice came from inside.
Draco turned the handle, and the two of them entered Professor McGonagall's office together.
The moment they stepped inside, they were hit by an oppressive atmosphere born of "knowledge."
For a moment, they even wondered whether this was Professor McGonagall's office or a small library.
Most of the office was occupied by rows of bookshelves that reached the ceiling, crammed full of book after book.
"That settles my part!" Professor McGonagall's voice came from nearby. "Filius, have you made any new discoveries as well?"
Following the voices, Cedric and Draco looked toward the other end of the office.
They saw Wizet, Professor Flitwick, and Professor McGonagall gathered around a desk, quietly discussing something, their figures nearly swallowed by the surrounding bookshelves.
Only when Cedric and Draco approached did they see Professor McGonagall wave her wand, snapping all the open books shut before returning them to the shelves.
Wizet looked over at Cedric and Draco and waved in greeting. "Draco, Cedric, you're here!"
"That earlier topic took rather a long time." Professor McGonagall waved her wand again, briskly conjuring two comfortable armchairs and a small round table.
"I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to wait a little longer... Is that all right? If you have things to do, you may go and attend to them first... Mr. Diggory, don't you have Quidditch practice this morning?"
"That's no problem..." Cedric nodded somewhat shyly. "Actually, we arrived early... We only knocked because we heard movement inside."
"As for Quidditch practice, the wind and snow are too heavy right now, so I canceled it... I'm free for the time being!"
"So am I!" Draco
