"Here! This is the place!" Parker led the group to a stop in front of an old three-story industrial building.
The building was made of red brick, its surface marked by soot and water stains. The paint on the wooden window frames had peeled away, making it clear that the place had been around for years.
A wooden sign hung above the entrance, its message simple and direct: Parker's Place, providing beds, hot soup, and peace.
