The light spilling down from the ceiling of the laboratory was clearly a soft, warm glow, yet Fenrir Greyback found it unbearably glaring.
A rasping sound came from his throat, like a beast being strangled. Even trying to make a sound had become incredibly difficult.
Wizet showed no such reaction. As though speaking to someone beside him, his voice rang through the laboratory and reached Fenrir Greyback's ears. "Professor Lupin, he's here."
Another face appeared. It was far older than Wizet's, and there was something vaguely familiar about the features that made up Fenrir Greyback's brow.
What alarmed Fenrir Greyback, however, was the anger and hatred surging in those eyes, nearly overflowing from them.
He could also sense that the owner of that face was trying hard to restrain himself from unleashing those emotions of anger and hatred.
Another burst of scraping, rasping noise sounded. The laboratory ceiling returned, the soft warm light vanished, and even Wizet's voice abruptly stopped.
Everything returned to darkness and silence, as though everything that had just happened had been a dream—a hallucination born from his taut nerves.
Just like that inexplicable sensation of rising he had felt...
This sudden beginning and end threw Fenrir Greyback's thoughts into disarray.
He now suspected that Wizet had added some potion resembling Confusing Concoction to that feast, using it to torment him.
He could not determine whether everything he had just experienced... had been a brief nightmare or something that had truly happened.
Watching Wizet assemble the laboratory, now no larger than building blocks, Remus Lupin asked uneasily, "Wizet, won't this affect its sturdiness?"
"Fenrir Greyback is an extremely dangerous werewolf, after all... Could he find an opportunity to escape? Is there anything I can do?"
