A former "werewolf wizard" raised his head again. He stared fixedly at the moon, his lips trembling violently. "It... it's still there! But I... I... I feel... feel..."
He simply could not go on. It felt as though something was lodged in his throat, while a sharp ache rushed into his eyes.
"Ah!" He let out a heart-rending roar.
It was not the howl of a werewolf, but a cry of wild joy bursting from the deepest part of his soul.
As though venting decades of pain, struggle, and fear, he staggered a few steps forward, seemingly about to collapse.
"No! Thank you!" He waved off a Hit Wizard who tried to support him, then pointed up at the sky. "I want to talk to it! I want to talk to it!"
"Moon! Look at me! Look at me!" He screamed madly at the full moon overhead, tears and snot streaming down his face and dripping from his chin to the floor.
Though his face was a complete mess, his eyes shone brilliantly, like two burning flames.
"I'm not afraid of you! I'm not afraid of you anymore!" he shouted in a voice already hoarse, every word seeming to be forced from his chest with all his strength. "Do you hear me? I'm never afraid of you again!"
The other former "werewolf wizards" around him were doing much the same, venting emotions they had suppressed for years.
Some raised both arms with all their strength and threw back their heads, exposing their necks and chests completely to the moonlight.
It was as though they were bathing in the moonlight, allowing tears to slip from the corners of their eyes while wearing smiles of liberation.
