Wizet followed Newt Scamander into the cabin, where an alchemical magic circle had been set up in one corner.
He glanced at the alchemical magic circle and confirmed that a Preservation Charm had been cast upon it. Inside the circle sat a large basket of chopped lamb.
"Leave this sort of thing to me!" Hearing footsteps behind him, Newt Scamander turned and smiled at Wizet and the others.
He efficiently rolled up his sleeves, grabbed a piece of lamb, and offered it to Fenrir the werewolf. "Good boy! Go on, have a taste!"
"I prepared this for Jasper this morning, and we stewed some for lunch too. Tina and I both thought the meat was excellent quality. You're sure to like it!"
This time, Fenrir the werewolf did not refuse. He took the lamb in his jaws and began chewing on it.
Newt Scamander waved his wand and casually conjured a small basket, then selected several pieces of lamb and placed them inside.
He waved to Wizet before carrying the basket out of the cabin himself.
"It's all my fault..." he said as he looked at Jasper the Antipodean Opaleye. "I should have explained things more clearly to you earlier..."
"I had already fed Jasper. The reason it's willing to lie here now is really just to bask in the sun while digesting its food."
"Of all dragons, Australian Opaleyes are the gentlest. Jasper in particular—Tina and I hatched it together, so it is even friendlier toward humans."
"A few days ago, a friend even came to see me. He seemed to be a Muggle from Florida in North America, and he wanted to buy my Jasper. How could that possibly happen? I refused him on the spot!"
