Unlike Halloween Eve, no welcome feast was prepared in the Great Hall on the evening the Christmas holiday ended.
After Wizet and the other M.S.C. members arrived at the castle entrance in Thestral-drawn carriages, they did not head to the Great Hall straight away. Instead, the excited Fred and George stopped them and brought them to the Mystic Corridor.
Fred and George had only just mastered the Flight Charm, so naturally, they wanted to put on a proper display.
Grinning broadly, the two of them simultaneously pulled two Magic Firework sticks from their pockets. With a casual swipe against their sleeves, the sticks ignited, spraying crackling golden sparks.
"Are you ready?" Fred announced loudly.
"The show begins!" George chimed in.
As soon as the words left his mouth, they swung their arms in perfect unison and hurled the Magic Firework sticks high into the air.
Combined with the Flight Charm they had now mastered, it was bound to make for an extraordinary fireworks display.
Just as the Magic Firework sticks reached their highest point and were about to fall, Fred and George lunged forward. Their bodies shot skyward like arrows loosed from a bow, and they precisely caught the tossed sticks in midair.
When it came to fireworks displays, Fred and George showed astonishing talent.
They worked their own ideas into the performance, racing and tumbling through the not-so-spacious Mystic Corridor at high speed.
The Magic Firework sticks in their hands became dazzling paintbrushes, sketching all sorts of intricate patterns through the air. They even drew the M.S.C. logo, drawing gasps of amazement from Neville and the others.
At the end of the performance, the two exchanged a knowing glance in midair and swallowed Canary Creams at the same time.
