Xenophilius Lovegood wore a deeply suspicious expression as he fixed Wizet with a scrutinizing gaze. "What exactly happened to you?"
"Why did you suddenly send me such a strange letter? It didn't explain anything... it just told me to come to Hogwarts this morning?"
Wizet raised his wand and gave it a gentle flick at the space ahead. "Mr. Lovegood, I'll explain it to you later, all right?"
The otherwise unremarkable wall trembled slightly. Several lines of light then appeared, intertwining and outlining the shape of a door.
Xenophilius watched it all unfold. He saw Wizet naturally grasp the doorknob and push the outlined door outward, revealing a secluded corridor beyond.
Wizet stepped out of the passage first, then waved from outside. "Mr. Lovegood, we're almost there."
Xenophilius emerged from the secret passage and looked around the corridor curiously, only to find that it felt remarkably unfamiliar.
That could only mean one thing: during all his years studying magic at Hogwarts, he had never once set foot in this corridor.
After all, Hogwarts Castle was enormous and ancient. It was perfectly normal for there to be corridors and secret passages he did not know about.
Though he could reassure himself that way, plenty of questions still surfaced in his mind.
For instance, why was Wizet so familiar with the place that he even knew about such a remote secret passage?
Following behind Wizet, Xenophilius soon arrived before a Gargoyle statue and suddenly understood. "Hey! This actually leads to the Headmaster's Office?"
"Yes, Mr. Lovegood." Wizet answered, then gave the Gargoyle statue the password. "Dirty Goat Crumb!"
The Gargoyle statue folded its wings and nimbly hopped aside, revealing the spiral staircase hidden behind it.
