Hagrid grabbed one of the Quintaped's legs, exerted force with both hands to forcibly bend the leg at the knee joint. Then he swung his enormous fist and slammed it down hard on the protruding knee.

With a spine-chilling crack of bone, the Quintaped did not even have time to struggle a few more times before it went completely still, its other four legs falling limp as well.

Hagrid had only just dealt with one Quintaped when he caught sight of another out of the corner of his eye.

This Quintaped had circled around from the side and closed in on Hermione, all five legs tensing as it prepared to attack.

"I'll handle the Quintaped!" Hagrid immediately turned toward it and hurled the Quintaped in his hands at it.

After being struck, that Quintaped rolled miserably across the ground several times before finally regaining its balance.

As a faint glow radiated from the guards on his legs, Hagrid locked onto the other Quintaped and charged again, head lowered like an enraged rhinoceros.

The Quintaped was sent flying off the ground, its five legs flailing wildly in the air before it crashed down hard, able only to struggle in agony.

Hagrid's arrival completely changed the situation. Neither Hermione nor Ron needed to worry about the Quintapeds' attacks anymore, allowing them to focus on the Dark wizards around them.

Hermione waved her wand, drawing several arcs through the air in quick succession.

She first used the Impediment Jinx to trip her enemies, then restrained them with the Full Body-Bind Curse, before finally subduing them completely with Stupefy.

Buoyed by the joy of seeing Hagrid, Ron cast the Fear Manifestation Charm once more, replenishing the Acromantulas.

For Hermione and Ron, the Quintapeds were undoubtedly extremely troublesome opponents.
