The fire in My Lord's eye sockets flickered unsteadily. "What exactly are you planning to do?"

Wizet raised an eyebrow. "Mr. Mictlantecuhtli, I've already answered so many of your questions..."

"Why are you still unwilling to answer that one question?" His voice rose slightly, as though worried My Lord had not heard him. "What are you waiting for?"

My Lord tilted his skull, seeming somewhat displeased by Wizet's question. "You seem to think you understand me very well, trying to force me into giving you a definite answer?"

Wizet nodded, his tone carrying a touch of matter-of-factness. "I consider myself to understand you quite well."

"Heh!" My Lord sneered, his tone full of contempt. "Why are you so arrogant?"

"Just because you returned to the past and stayed there for a little while, you think you understand me well enough?"

Wizet narrowed his eyes slightly, as though recalling something. "I prefer to use my observations to confirm information that is useful to me."

"I know that when they were setting up the 'path,' you directly interfered with and mocked them, but you did not directly destroy the 'path.' Is that right?"

My Lord gave no response, as though he had not heard Wizet's question.

Wizet had expected such a reaction. He said calmly, "After the interference with the 'path,' they were all expressing their wariness of you."

"Meanwhile, I was thinking about something else. Since the 'path' was a challenge to the 'Eternity' you supported, why did you merely interfere and mock it instead of actually destroying it?"

"I think the reason is simple. It is what you just called me—you are arrogant. Perhaps that arrogance is built upon so-called confidence. You believed you could absolutely interfere with the 'path,' didn't you?"

"You were the same after descending once more.
