Hearing what Wizet said, Kreacher stepped forward almost instinctively and blocked the doorway.

Seeing Kreacher's actions, Sirius raised an eyebrow and looked down at him.

"Of course there's no problem!" A mocking smile curled at his lips as he gave a crystal-clear command. "Kreacher, get out of my way!"

Kreacher began muttering unpleasant words again, yet he did not yield a single step and continued to block the doorway.

Sirius's brow rose even higher. "Kreacher, do you think you have the right to choose? Then I have that same right too!"

Impatience showed between his brows. "When faced with a House-elf that refuses to obey orders, perhaps I ought to give you some clothes!"

At those words, Kreacher seemed to have heard the most dreadful curse imaginable, and his body began to tremble uncontrollably.

During an earlier chat, Sirius had mentioned the decorative plaques on the wall. As far as he knew, Kreacher's dream was to become one of them—to have his head nailed onto a plaque.

"Whatever Master wishes to do... he may do..." Kreacher's voice was thick with sobs as he took a leaden step aside. "Kreacher will obey..."

Kreacher's room was exceedingly shabby, as though everything inside had been pieced together.

For instance, the little bed he slept on had been built from stacked firewood, while the quilt was made of rags stitched to a tattered blanket. Everything looked filthy.

There was also a small table in the corner. By human standards, it was probably more of a footstool. It bore exquisite carvings and was piled high with all manner of objects.

"Guess what's inside?" Sirius touched one of the boxes and opened it without waiting for an answer. Inside was a thin piece of iron shaped like a medal.
