[December 16th, Abraham Radcliffe brought this on himself. He insisted on showing off his skill in Potions, so I'll show him what it means to reap what you sow...]
[Abraham Radcliffe really is an idiot. When he handed in that Love Potion I tampered with, he got so smug that he tripped and spilled it all over himself. Then he fell in love with the Potions professor at first sight. Wonderful! I probably won't forget this for the rest of my life...]
After enrolling at Hogwarts, he devoted himself to the study of potions and failed to handle his interpersonal relationships well.
Besides recording new ideas about potions, Zygmunt Budge also wrote extensively about his experiences at school in his notebook.
The basic pattern was that some people's potion-brewing techniques were too crude, so he "kindly advised" and "guided" them. As a result, the two sides smoothly became enemies.
This was not limited to students. Zygmunt Budge even clashed with professors of the time.
When the Potions professor demonstrated how to prepare soft-shelled crabs, Zygmunt Budge bluntly pointed out that the professor's method contained a serious error that would contaminate the potion with poison and waste the ingredients.
[September 22nd, I suppose Professor Winchester spoke ill of me, which is why the headmaster rejected my application. It seems there's no point in staying at Hogwarts any longer. I might as well find somewhere to begin my research. You won't let me participate in the Magical Schools Potions Championship now, but someday I'll train a whole group of students and have them win the championship for me. Then you'll regret it!]
And so, Zygmunt Budge dropped out at the age of fourteen. After traveling for a time, he settled on Hermetray Island and continued his potion research.
