Werewolves had no interest in eating people. In their madness, they only wanted to hurt and kill the person before them, then find the next target, until the full moon ended.
Amid long, piercing howls, the werewolves began choosing their next targets, reveling in the thrill of hunting their prey.
Several isolated people appeared before them. They were somewhat hunched, with graying beards and wrinkled exposed skin; some even bore wounds that could never truly fade;
They were clearly advanced in years. Most likely, they could no longer run and could only sit there waiting to die;
One of them had not only gray-white hair and a long cane, but a face where wrinkles had been entirely replaced by all manner of wounds and scars. He looked especially miserable—almost savage.
The crazed werewolves would not feel pity because of this;
They howled again, springing into the air, intending to crush these people beneath them before biting through their throats...
