As the elite among wizards, Aurors were far more capable of casting spells than ordinary wizards, even after retirement, even with graying hair, bodies ravaged by old injuries, and the lingering torment of residual dark magic.

The retired Aurors led by Mad-Eye Moody were basically all in this condition.

The only thing truly limiting them was their lack of stamina; they could not sustain combat for long periods.

Even so, they still wanted to cast as many spells as possible, to stop one werewolf from committing violence, then another werewolf, and another...

"Damn it! It's that beast Greyback!"

A retired Auror cursed and swung his wand at the werewolf Fenrir Greyback ahead.

A ring of ropes appeared out of thin air on the ground. Just as they tightened, Fenrir Greyback leaped upward and easily avoided them.

His fur shone silver, and his body was immensely muscular—at least a full size larger than an ordinary werewolf, like the difference between a bear and a polar bear.

After dodging the ropes, Fenrir Greyback immediately pounced back toward the ground as three red bolts streaked across his back.

His massive body did not hinder his speed in the slightest. He let out a long howl, as though mocking the retired Aurors for their age and frailty, then charged toward two spectators lying on the ground nearby.

The two spectators were covered in footprints. They had likely fallen while fleeing, then been trampled by the panicked crowd behind them, leaving them unconscious.

"Protego!" Mad-Eye Moody raised his wand and cast a Shield Charm in Fenrir Greyback's direction.

Thud!

Caught off guard, Fenrir Greyback slammed into the invisible shield Mad-Eye Moody had conjured. Half his face caved in before slowly restoring itself.

He still did not abandon his previous target. He merely slowed his advance
