At the sight of the Veela dancing, Draco drifted off for a moment too, but he quickly recovered and caught sight of Ron making a fool of himself. Unable to hold it in, he let out a very obvious snort of laughter.
"Draco?" Narcissa heard it clearly and gave him a low-voiced warning.
"Ahem!" Draco nodded, pressing his lips tightly together.
Draco's snort was enough to bring Ron back to his senses. His ears were as red as if they had been roasted over a fire.
"A Veela's enchantment is innate!" Hermione raised her eyebrows and pulled Ron back into his gilded seat. "If your will is strong enough, or if you know mental magic, you won't be affected!"
Ron's face turned red along with his ears. "So that's how it is..."
After the Veela left the field, Ludo Bagman spoke over the clamorous cries for them to stay and introduced the other team's mascots. "Let's welcome the mascots of the North American National Team!"
"They're in the sky!" Luna noticed movement overhead and spotted the magical creatures flying into the stadium. "They're Snarves!"
Flocks of Snarves descended from the sky. They resembled snow-white deer, their antlers branching like trees and bearing blossoms and fruit, making for a truly magical sight.
The Snarves also possessed a pair of snowy wings. They glided past the top-level boxes, shaking their heads as their antlers trembled and scattered a shower of bright red fruits resembling dogwood berries.
"Dad, these fruits are edible!" Luna explained to Xenophilius. "They can prevent little ailments like motion sickness."
"When we head back, you can eat a few first. When you Apparate home, you probably won't feel uncomfortable at all."
