Two weeks passed. Most students no longer had the perseverance to wake up early every morning and make checking the notice board for new announcements the first thing on their minds.
At most, after waking up, they would glance in the direction of the notice board, and then...
They discovered a sheet of parchment posted on it.
"The Five-Wizard Tournament selection announcement is out!"
The same shout rang through the common rooms of all four Houses.
The students awakened by the shouting first muttered indistinct curses before slowly grasping what had happened.
Quite a few students did not even bother changing into their robes. They leapt out of bed in their pajamas and rushed furiously toward the notice board.
By the time the slower-reacting students reached the common room, they found the area around the notice board packed solid.
"Every student at Hogwarts..." a student near the notice board read aloud, "...has the potential to display the qualities of a Champion..."
"We are offering an opportunity for a selection trial..." he raised his voice. "The selection trial will begin at noon on September 19..."
"September 19... that means it starts at noon today! If only it started in the morning! How am I supposed to pay attention in class now? I can't concentrate at all."
A student beside him laughed. "If you have Potions Class, you'll be able to concentrate."
"I think Care of Magical Creatures will do it too..." another student said. "If you don't pay enough attention, a Blast-Ended Skrewt might blow you unconscious!"
"Where's the trial being held?" students who could not see the notice board urged. "Where is it?"
"It's in an empty classroom in the corridor on the left side of the fifth floor..." the student by the notice board hurriedly read out. "The corridor
