"Mr. Lovegood has finished his proposal. Who is in favor? Who is against?"

As Hogwarts' headmaster, Dumbledore's tone turned stern, clearly confirming Wizet's words: "Hogwarts stands behind me."

By this point, the headmasters and Champions present all understood that the Goblet of Fire's anomaly had nothing to do with Hogwarts. Karkaroff and Seraphina Picquery bore the main responsibility.

After Wizet voluntarily proposed competing alone, the "numerical advantage" the headmasters had mentioned earlier had turned into a "numerical disadvantage."

The same applied to the points earned. If Wizet failed to complete an event, the judging panel would have to deduct points no matter what.

That way, even if Hogwarts' three Champions performed exceptionally and achieved good scores, their final score would still drop because the average had to be calculated.

Once Wizet's proposal had been made, Hogwarts' advantage had completely vanished. The other four schools were the ones benefiting instead.

At the same time, however, Hogwarts, as the host, would no longer leave itself open to criticism.

For Hogwarts as a magical school, Wizet's proposal had also resolved the potential public relations crisis it might have faced.

Although the headmasters had all reached this consensus, none of them wanted to be the first to speak. An indescribable silence filled the room.

"Regarding Mr. Lovegood's proposal..." Barty Crouch Sr. took the initiative to break the silence. "Mr. Karkaroff, Madam Picquery... do you have any further thoughts?"

Karkaroff cursed a few times inwardly, but could only force a smile. "Regarding Mr. Lovegood's proposal... I wholeheartedly agree."

Alastor Moody gave a few rough laughs. "I reckon with your brain, you couldn't think of a better solution!"

Karkaroff pursed his lips and turned his head aside, pretending not to hear Moody.
