After the Halloween Feast ended, under Professor McGonagall's organization, the Gryffindor students returned to the common room.
However, no sooner had Professor McGonagall left than a group of people slipped out of the common room.
Watching the group leave, the Fat Lady hurriedly called out, "Don't go yet! Tell me about it!"
"Did Gryffindor choose a Champion too? I already asked when you came back just now!"
"We're planning to bring back some food to celebrate Gryffindor having a Champion," Fred said with a mischievous grin, his eyes darting about. "Fat Lady, we'll tell you when we get back!"
"Then you'd better get back quickly!" The Fat Lady raised an eyebrow. Though she looked suspicious, she could only say helplessly, "And remember to tell me!"
"Done!" Fred took the lead. "If we whet the Fat Lady's appetite like this, she'll definitely still be here when we get back instead of visiting other portraits."
Ron raised an eyebrow skeptically. "You're that sure?"
"My Ronald, this is experience we've summed up after all those years of sneaking around at night!" George explained. "Doubting that means doubting our ability to sneak around at night!"
"Should we keep our voices down?" Neville looked around warily and lowered his voice. "What if we run into Filch while going down the stairs?"
"It's fine!" Fred turned to glance at Ron. "We have experience. We've got plenty of ways to deal with it. Filch definitely won't catch us."
"That sounds very reassuring..." Ron rolled his eyes. "If you hadn't looked at me when you said that, I might have believed you..."
"My Ronald, I have to say..." George patted Ron on the shoulder with a sigh. "You're getting sharper and sharper now... Oh! I mean, more humorous!"
"Wait... do you hear footsteps?" Neville's voice suddenly grew tense.
