The sound of Luna's footsteps faded at the end of the stairs. Wizet raised a hand to his cheek, gently touching the spot where he had felt warmth and softness;
That softness seemed to linger there, along with... a faint trace of dampness.
His heart really did seem to be pounding in his throat, rapidly sending what felt like boiling blood through his body;
Perhaps because his heart was beating too fast, he felt a little lightheaded, standing there dazed and unable to move.
The little Thunderbird fluttered down and landed on Wizet's shoulder.
It glanced toward the stairs leading to the girls' dormitory, then lowered its head and rubbed against Wizet's cheek.
It had had a wonderful time tonight. Now that it was standing on Wizet's shoulder, exhaustion washed over it, making it want to doze off.
Plop...
The little Thunderbird tilted to one side and bumped into Wizet's cheek, bringing him back to his senses.
"Looks like you're tired today too." Wizet gathered the little Thunderbird into his arms and took it back to the dormitory with him.
The little Thunderbird expertly flew over to the pillow. Wizet changed out of his dress robes and looked at the lapel chain in his hand, an unconscious smile appearing on his lips.
Wizet first spread out the Occamy feathers and wrapped them around the little Thunderbird before lying down, resting one hand beneath his head.
Listening to the howling wind outside the window, he felt that his mood was rising and falling like the cold wind outside.
He held the lapel chain in one hand, staring at the swaying pendant without the slightest bit of sleepiness;
As the pendant swung, everything that had happened today flashed before his eyes, leaving him even less sleepy.
"Using this to help me sleep..."
