"All-Things Trace Seizure!"
Wizet cast Ancient Magic: Mark Extraction Charm, and his consciousness once again entered that wondrous "third-person perspective."
Something unexpected happened: he entered Fenrir Greyback's memories rather than the "Shadow World."
The place was filled with fragments of Fenrir Greyback's memories of violence, abuse, and slaughter. Wizet took them all in and soon noticed something strange.
He had obtained Fenrir Greyback's memories through mental magic;
Upon noticing the oddity here, he immediately used mental magic to select the relevant fragments from Fenrir Greyback's memories and compare them with the fragments before him.
Sure enough, the memory fragments displayed here differed considerably from the "memories of Fenrir Greyback" he had obtained.
Even the killings Fenrir Greyback had committed in werewolf form showed him here in his original human appearance.
Based on his research into mental magic and souls, Wizet was fairly certain that this was not Fenrir Greyback's memory world.
These were several facets of Fenrir Greyback's soul, presumably expressing its cruelty through "memory fragments."
Wizet tried to "look" farther afield and discovered the thread of the "mark" extending from Fenrir Greyback's heart.
He guided his consciousness to cling to the thread. A pulling force arose from it, carrying him onward until he finally entered the "Shadow World."
"I actually ended up in the Forbidden Forest's 'Shadow World'?" Wizet looked around, but saw no images of light and shadow related to werewolves.
Something dawned on him, and he used his consciousness to sense what lay deeper, searching for the presence of "'consensus' magic."
What immense "'consensus' magic"...
Wizet could not help marveling. Following the thread of the "mark" extending from Fenrir Greyback's heart, he sensed countless consciousnesses gathered together.
As he marveled, another possibility occurred to him-could werewolf wizards be a product of "'consensus' magic"?
