Moonlight pierced through the clouds, spilling over the streets of Ars City.
Compared to the daytime, the streets were much colder and quieter, but figures could still be faintly seen moving about. Patrolling guards walked the streets, though no one paid them any mind.
Ars City had no curfew, but most shops closed down for the night.
Yet there were places that stayed open through the night, such as the taverns near the Adventurers' Guild. Even deep into the night, they remained lively. Adventurers in various attire could be seen raising their glasses here, boasting and shooting the breeze. From time to time, someone would even take the stage to perform singing and instrumental acts, and a cheerful atmosphere filled the air.
The adventurer industry in the Asura Kingdom was not particularly flourishing.
The land contained very little mana, and it mostly consisted of plains. The number of monsters was scarce, and their levels were relatively low. The strength possessed by the towns and villages themselves was enough to handle them. Aside from a few extreme situations, there was basically no room for adventurers to intervene.
Therefore, adventurer parties reaching B-rank and above either stopped right there or left the locality.
That being said, this was the capital of the Asura Kingdom, after all.
Aside from monster subjugation, there were also many commissions for escorting merchant caravans and delivering letters, causing adventurers from all over the world to converge here. Although the ranks of such commissions were not high, they made up for it with sheer quantity.
Whenever night fell, adventurers from all corners of the world gathered in the taverns facing the adventurers to drink heartily.
