My editor came to me today and told me to post a single-chapter note after updating, asking for follow-up reads because I have to PK for a big recommendation.
I told my editor that it felt like not many people were reading my book.
I'm a newcomer, and I don't really understand the backend data. I just keep my head down and write. It feels like there are only a few comments every day, and most of them are bad reviews too—awkward.
But I don't delete comments either. Anyway, everyone can curse all they want. Just curse the book, not me.
Then my editor told me that about a thousand people were following my book every day!
Me: ...?
I was stunned.
For a while, I suspected my editor had made up a number to trick me into keeping writing, but I had no proof.
In any case, I still have to write. I don't write slowly either; it's just that I have to work, so I don't have much time to write.
According to my editor, this book is expected to go premium in about a week, next Tuesday at the latest.
When it goes premium, I'll release all my saved drafts, about ten chapters.
After it goes premium, I'll guarantee three updates a day, try for four, and five on weekends—if I don't have to work overtime.
