Within the void, inside the palace.

Janemba and Salam landed outside the palace and hurried inside. A rare look of worry appeared on the ferocious dragon head.

The palace was vast yet plain. Aside from the necessary furnishings and two enormous statues beside the main hall, there were no other decorations. Within the immense palace, there was no living being besides Nero, who sat reclined upon the throne with his eyes closed in rest.

Janemba and Salam crossed the palace entrance and unconsciously slowed their steps when they saw the man seated on the throne with his eyes tightly shut.

Once they reached the foot of the throne, Salam took a deep breath, clasped his hands with a trace of concern, and said, "Lord Nero, the apprentice Supreme Kai harboring extreme thoughts has been erased from this world by us. But..."

"But what?" Nero glanced at Salam before closing his eyes again. Chaotic energy continuously curled around him, crystalline like black crystal.

Salam hesitated slightly, then knelt before Nero and confessed his fault.
