Astonishing Demigra

Though he felt awe in his heart, Kashius had not forgotten his instincts for battle. He curled the fingers of one hand slightly toward Demigra, then yanked sharply.

The densely packed energy blasts seemed to have been fitted with radar. Wave after wave, they crossed the spatial rifts Demigra had opened and struck toward his flanks and back.

"Interesting!" Demigra's expression shifted slightly. He cast a surprised glance at Kashius in the distance, the corners of his lips rising as he lifted his staff and waved it again.

This time, space and time seemed to freeze. A colorless shockwave instantly spread from his body, and every energy blast it touched exploded in midair. A lively series of "bang bang bang" rang out.

"Not bad!" Kashius was somewhat surprised. "Hey, you dead monkey, what are you standing around for? Go up and hit him!"

"Oh, right!" Son Goku immediately leaped into the air and charged at Demigra. Golden light flowed across his body as he instantly transformed into a Super Saiyan. Purple lightning crackled around him, savage as flood dragons, constantly coiling and tearing through the air.

Yet Demigra was extremely agile. With a flash and twist of his body, he easily evaded Son Goku's attacks. It was not that Son Goku's attacks lacked sharpness or force, but that Demigra's reaction speed was simply astonishing.

"What are you doing? Just go all out and hit him! Why are you messing around in Super Saiyan 2?" Kashius was deeply dissatisfied with Son Goku's actions. Wouldn't it be better to strike at full strength and catch the opponent off guard?

Although that would take much of the fun out of the battle, there was no denying that it was the most time-saving and effortless method. But Son Goku just had to fool around!
