Pitt the Younger continued:

Lord Hawkesbury opened his mouth, only to find that the Prime Minister's plan seemed to have no flaws. He bowed slightly. "I will coordinate this with the East India Company as soon as possible."
Pitt the Younger let out a breath. "Corruption in the East India Company is getting worse and worse, while its ability to govern India keeps declining. Perhaps Parliament should take back the authority to administer India."
The Minister of Foreign Affairs did not dare continue on the subject of the East India Company's powers and changed the subject. "Prime Minister, there are some other matters."

"First, the Holy Roman Emperor hopes to restore a close alliance with our country—naturally, in the form of a secret treaty."
Pitt the Younger nodded. After Prussia had thrown itself into France's embrace, the United Kingdom's only link on the European Continent was Austria. Strengthening ties between the two nations was naturally something the United Kingdom welcomed.
Lord Hawkesbury added, "As you know, Vienna has recently carried out extremely aggressive reforms. They would therefore like us to provide a loan, as well as technology in textile production and mechanical processing."
Weariness filled Pitt the Younger's eyes.

He waved a hand. "Tell them we can at most postpone repayment of the previous loan. No additional loans.
"As for technology, we can provide them with some assistance. I will have the
