Sitting in a corner of the dining hall, Skylar silently watched the Gryffindor table. He saw Ginny approach Harry, looking as though she wanted to say something but could not bring herself to. Just as she gathered the courage to reveal the truth, Percy Weasley interrupted her. Ginny hurriedly fled, and Skylar quietly followed without alerting anyone.
With his previous experience in tailing someone, Skylar smoothly cast the Invisible Phantom Charm on himself and followed Ginny to the girls' bathroom at the end of the third floor. He watched as Ginny hesitated inside for a long time before finally opening the Diary. Smoke immediately rose from its pages, slowly taking the shape of a human figure.
Though the figure was blurry and indistinct, Skylar could still tell that it was the remnant soul of the young Tom Riddle.
Ginny cried out miserably, accusing Tom of summoning the Basilisk to harm people. She tried casting spells at Tom's remnant soul, but they were completely ineffective. Then, with a cold laugh, Tom forcibly possessed the desperately struggling Ginny. Just as he was about to control Ginny into writing on the stone wall outside, as in the original story, an inexplicable sense of vigilance suddenly rose within him. He looked in Skylar's direction, raised his wand, and shouted, "Who's there?!"
Clearly, Tom had not seen through Skylar's invisibility magic, but his extraordinary instincts had still sensed that something was wrong. This was Voldemort in his youth—Skylar did not dare underestimate him in the slightest. Using the advantage of his invisibility, Skylar struck first. Combining Non-verbal Spellcasting with the One-Instant Double-Casting Technique, he fired an Expelliarmus
