Background / History

Qian Daoliu was a rank 99 Limit Douluo of the Angel Clan and the grandfather of Qian Renxue. He died after sacrificing himself, remaining dead for ten thousand years until Ye Fan used the Life Angel martial soul, heart's blood, and thirty years of lifespan to revive him. The revival initially bound Qian Daoliu to Ye Fan through a bloodline contract, allowing Ye Fan to control his body during the battle against the Soul Douluo of Ten Thousand Souls. 3

After learning that Qian Renxue's divine seat had shattered, Spirit Hall had been destroyed, and the Angel Clan had nearly been exterminated, Qian Daoliu pledged to protect Ye Fan and Ye Guyi. He asked his descendants to call him “Grandpa” rather than “Ancestor.” 4

Though initially skeptical of soul tools and the reliance on external equipment, he recognizes their military and social significance after seeing the Sun Moon Empire's technology. He later becomes Mingde Hall's Chief Consecrator while remaining with Ye Fan and Ye Guyi. 5 12

He is stern, decisive, and intimidating toward threats. When Jiaojiao resists Ye Fan's demand for immortal herbs, Qian Daoliu makes clear that Ye Fan is informing the herbs rather than seeking permission. 31
