Background / History

Qian Xunji led Spirit Hall's pursuit of Tang Hao and Ah Yin while Ah Yin was giving birth. Tang Hao's Great Sumeru Hammer—Nine Rings Detonate Together shattered Qian Xunji's defenses, destroyed his Angel Avatar, and left every bone in his body broken. Although Mu Chen stabilized him, the Deathgod Domain's murderous aura remained within him. Against advice to return immediately for treatment, Qian Xunji insisted on investigating a newly opened spatial realm. 1

Within the realm, Qian Xunji and his party encountered a sleeping newborn, Jiang Yuan. After awakening, Qian Xunji found his injuries completely healed and his soul power advanced to rank 96. He concluded that the realm might be connected to a god and took Jiang Yuan back to Spirit Hall, becoming determined to protect and raise him. 2

Following his return, Qian Xunji forced the Clear Sky Clan to seal its mountain, an outcome that led to the clan leader's death. 2 He later arranged for Jiang Yuan to live and eat alongside Qian Renxue, effectively granting the boy status comparable to his daughter and raising him almost as a son. 3

After Jiang Yuan awakened the Void Ancient Dragon and Ancient Sky Phoenix martial souls, Qian Xunji's belief that he was the “Child of God” was validated. He worked with Qian Daoliu to secure exceptional cultivation resources, including personally arranging the capture of an eight-hundred-year Golden Earth Dragon King for Jiang Yuan's first soul ring. 5 6

Personality

Qian Xunji is resolute to the point of obstinacy. Even while severely wounded and carrying an unremovable murderous aura, he refused to withdraw before investigating the unexplained spatial realm. His subordinates recognize that persuasion is futile once he has decided on a course of action. 1

He is affectionate and indulgent toward Jiang Yuan, treating him as a son and seeing him as a future pillar of Spirit Hall. His pride in Jiang Yuan's potential feeds his confidence that Spirit Hall will dominate the continent within a generation. 3 8 17

At the same time, Qian Xunji is vindictive toward Tang Hao and cruelly manipulative toward Yu Xiaogang. His defeat at Tang Hao's hands became a lasting humiliation; despite gaining power from the aftermath, he remained determined to kill Tang Hao and erase the disgrace. 20 He exploits Yu Xiaogang's fears and desire for recognition, then publicly rewards him for exposing Tang San's information in order to isolate him from his disciple. 22
