Background / History

Lu Jinxuan attended the Black Rock Mine excavation as Medicine Peak's strongest participating disciple. He convened Medicine Peak disciples in Cave Dwelling No. 10, proposing a nighttime mining operation to locate the richest Obsidian Ore vein and secure first place in the inter-peak competition. He accepted Li Fugui's proposal to use Fiery Mane Horses for ore transport, then placed Li Jun in charge of their care. 38

When Li Jun negotiated for supplies, herb-gathering freedom, and Li Fugui's assistance, Lu Jinxuan granted the requests in the name of Medicine Peak's collective interests. Li Jun nevertheless suspected that Lu Jinxuan was aligned with Liu Pan'er and that the assignment concealed a trap. 39

Lu Jinxuan delivered six groups of Fiery Mane Horses to Li Jun after secretly having them drugged with Louse Poison. He and his Fire Hall followers expected the poisoned animals to kill Li Jun; instead, Li Jun cured the horses and turned their aggression against the disciples sent to investigate them. 40 41 42

After the scheme failed, Lu Jinxuan punished Li Fugui for neglecting the horses. The subsequent Fiery Mane Horse incident left several of his followers severely injured and publicly exposed the danger surrounding the animals. Lu Jinxuan later had Li Fugui thrown from a cliff and demoted the injured inner sect disciples. 42 43

During the beast-tide crisis at No. 10 Mine, Lu Jinxuan coordinated with Foundation Establishment disciples from the other peaks. Ji Shaoyong selected him to lead the breakout force, and Lu later departed alongside Tang Yixi to seek aid from the sect. 44 45

Lu Jinxuan presents himself as cordial, cooperative, and devoted to Medicine Peak's success. He frames his plans around shared rewards and peak-wide interests, allowing him to pressure lower-ranking disciples into compliance. 38 39

Behind this demeanor, he is calculating and ruthless. He concealed the poisoning of the Fiery Mane Horses, encouraged his followers to regard Li Jun as a threat worth eliminating, and disposed of Li Fugui when the plan became a liability. 40 41 43
