For centuries, struggles over resources and territory had never ceased, drawing together innumerable factions, large and small.
Redscale Island now housed three kingdoms: besides the Pingcang Kingdom, there were the Eastern Ning Kingdom and the Red Cloud Kingdom.
Yet this great island was not a tripod balanced between three kingdoms, for it also held sects of both the righteous and demonic paths, along with numerous powerful clans.
Redscale Island was currently in turmoil. The flames of war burned in all three kingdoms, but they were not waging war against one another.

An enormous organization composed of demonic and sinister factions.
Led by the Blood Shadow Sect, the Earthdark Cult, the Black Wind Bandits, and the Ten Thousand Poisons Valley, it gathered dozens upon dozens of demonic gangs and cults beneath its banner. Formed three years earlier, it had first launched a surprise attack on the Eastern Ning Kingdom and bitten off a great chunk of flesh.
Even the Red Cloud Kingdom, the youngest of the three, had stood for over two hundred years. Throughout those long years, the three kingdoms had crushed and undermined one another, fighting openly and scheming in secret until their human brains had practically been beaten into dog brains.
Rather than sympathizing with the Eastern Ning Kingdom's plight, the Pingcang and Red Cloud Kingdoms had gloated over its misfortune. They had even secretly contacted the Blood Alliance, hoping to claim a share of the spoils.
