The High Tower Institute.
The arena buzzed with noise.
As soon as word spread that this year's regular-admission freshmen were about to face off against a special-admission student, crowds flocked to the arena to watch.
It was not just the freshmen who were drawn over. Quite a few senior students stood scattered around the sidelines, watching with interest, their expressions promising themselves a good show.
This sort of spectacle was nothing new to them. They had even gone through this stage themselves.
When they had first entered the High Tower Institute, they had been proud and arrogant, looking down on everyone, baring their teeth at anyone they pleased. Then the senior students had taught them a lesson, showing them how green they still were compared to their predecessors, and how much more training they needed.
Fortunately, they were senior students now, too.
Several of them stood near the front of the stands. Each had an extraordinary bearing, their faces radiating powerful confidence.
That assurance came from strength.
Even among the High Tower Institute's eight or nine hundred students, these individuals ranked among the best. They had long since become advanced awakened, and the strongest among them had already begun liquefying their mental power, setting their sights on becoming Resonance Masters. They were prominent figures within the institute.
At that moment, they were deep in discussion.
"Who do you think will win?"
"Hard to say. We know too little about Rosha. The ability to awaken apprentices alone wouldn't be enough to sway the institute's higher-ups into admitting both siblings. They're no fools. If they're giving him such preferential treatment, that kid is anything but ordinary."
"True. If it were just Rex and the others, the outcome really would be uncertain. But the top regular-admission student this time is rather special. Apparently,
