The Demon Refining Furnace and the Anomaly

The books and jade slips on the shelves fell mainly into three categories. The first consisted of materials the Beast Taming Sect had left behind to introduce the mystic realm to disciples entering it, along with certain operational guidelines. Though some of this information had become inaccurate after several thousand years of change, it remained precious to Liang Zhaohuang and could guide most of his actions.

In particular, Liang Zhaohuang found records and guidance concerning Blood Crystals among them.

According to the jade slips he examined, Blood Crystals were indeed an important spiritual resource used by the Beast Taming Sect to cultivate its disciples and other cultivators.

However, the jade slips clearly stated that Blood Crystals hunted from the mystic realm had to be refined in a Demon Refining Furnace before cultivators could refine and absorb them.

The Beast Taming Sect had specifically marked this point in the materials it left behind and warned its disciples about it, which showed just how important it was.

Liang Zhaohuang thus confirmed the proper way to use the Blood Crystals obtained from hunting demon beasts.

Yet among these books and jade slips, he found no further information about the Demon Refining Furnace.

Clearly, Demon Refining Furnaces were either possessed by every Beast Taming Sect disciple or provided by the sect before they entered the mystic realm. That was why these books and jade slips contained virtually no records concerning them.

This was undoubtedly bad news for Liang Zhaohuang.

He could only hope that he would find more information about Demon Refining Furnaces later in this mystic realm—or, better yet, acquire several Demon Refining Furnaces. Otherwise, even if he and his clan hunted a great many Blood Crystals in this mystic realm, they would have no way to use them effectively.
