Liang Zhaohuang hurled out the pearl treasures of his two innate spirit treasures, smashing them directly into the vortex enveloping the Glazed Spirit Sand Altar. A demon formation immediately emerged within the vortex, drawing upon the power of the surrounding rivers to withstand the pearls' bombardment.
Though Liang Zhaohuang's strike had been merely an impromptu attack, the Sea-Settling Pearl and Metal Mother Origin Pearl, as innate spirit treasures, possessed no small might.
The Sea-Settling Pearl wielded the power of the water-element laws, briefly fixing the power of the surrounding Glass River waters in place, as well as the vortex shrouding the altar. For that short span, the demon formation within could draw very little river water power for its use.
The Metal Mother Origin Pearl, meanwhile, activated the power of the metal-element laws, erupting with countless golden rays like a myriad of blades. Its unparalleled sharpness carried the intent to cleave through all things, instantly tearing apart the briefly immobilized vortex along with the demon formation within.
Yet after being obstructed and delayed by that vortex and demon formation, the Glass Shrimp Demon King resting beside the Glazed Spirit Sand Altar had already reacted and realized that an enemy had invaded.
At once, the Glass Shrimp Demon King raised its head and spat out a mass of glass-colored bubbles. They rapidly burst open in the river water, becoming ripples that spread outward—warning of an enemy attack and summoning its subordinates to come to its aid.
At the same time, its pair of great pincers, as though forged from glass, erupted with dazzling glassy radiance and clamped toward Liang Zhaohuang.
Where those glass pincers passed, the waters of the Glass River split apart.
The terrifying force of their pincer attack descended almost instantly, crushing in from both sides toward Liang Zhaohuang.
