The old and new Lion Kings clashed in battle through the skies and across the earth before Leopard Demon City.
The old Lion King was more imposing and stronger; the new Lion King, however, possessed a treasure bestowed by the Demon Country. Though he was less imposing and weaker than the old Lion King, he relied on that treasure to fight him without falling behind for the time being.
Two seas of fire collided in midair, burning through half the sky.
The sea of fire raised by the old Lion King was more vast and majestic. Amid the raging flames, great numbers of flaming lions condensed and charged at the new Lion King. These flaming lions were also larger, fiercer, and more terrifying.
The sea of fire raised by the new Lion King opposite him, meanwhile, was smaller and somewhat thinner. Yet starlight suffused that sea of fire, as though a starry sky had been reflected within it, the starlight rising and falling as it lent its blessing.
Though his sea of fire was smaller and thinner, it was utterly unafraid when it collided with the old Lion King's vast, majestic sea of fire, and did not fall short in the slightest.
Every flaming lion condensed within the new Lion King's sea of fire had stars emerge above its head, starlight shrouding its body and bolstering its combat strength. As they fought the stronger, fiercer, more numerous flaming lions charging at them, they likewise did not fall behind in the slightest.
The old and new Lion Kings thus battled in the sky, with victory impossible to determine for the moment.
Elsewhere in the sky, the clash between the Alligator Snake and the Pangolin Demon King—between surging black waters and towering hills—also shook the heavens, neither side gaining the upper hand
